10/21/19 PFPC Week 2: During our session this week, we explored the topics of communication and stress in all three of our sessions. We compared the daily routines of youth and their caregivers, and we identified the most and least stressful points of the day. Once we identified the stressors, we were introduced to different ways of coping with stress and how it can have an effect on every part of our body. The important thing is to keep stress managed throughout the day and to remember that not everyone experiences stress in the same way.
Our families enjoyed creating the timelines that described their typical day. Most of them found it surprising that the things that were stressful to one family member, were usually stressful to another.
