Claiborne County

Claiborne County began its Empowering Youth and Families Program in projected to start their first Cohort, in person, early 2021. They are one of two counties in Tennessee to participate in EYFP. Each family participates in a ten session program that is designed to strengthen their relationships and empower them to lead community change.

Meet Our People

Kenna Lambert

Kenna Lambert

Program Assistant, Empowering Youth and Families Program
  • Began experience in agriculture by working at the Claiborne Farmers Cooperative in Speedwell, Tennessee in 2018
  • Graduated from Cumberland Gap High School in 2020 with honors, distinction, and a Medical Assisting Certification
  • Currently attends Lincoln Memorial University working towards a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and is an officer and Student Government representative for Zeta Tau Kappa Sorority
  • Began working for the Claiborne County Extension office in 2021 as an EYFP Program Assistant
  • Enjoys attending 4-H camp as a counselor and participating in events on LMU campus
  • Her hobbies include archery, rock tumbling, drawing, reading, and helping raise sheep on her family farm
  • Loves spending time with friends and family
Carol Brandon

Carol Brandon

Extension Agent, Family and Consumer Sciences
  • Began her career as a 4-H Agent in Haywood County North Carolina in 1985
  • Transferred to Tennessee in 1990 as a split agent with 4-H and Adult FCS responsibilities, and currently works as a Family and Consumer Sciences agent
  • Received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Ecology and a MS degree in Agricultural and Extension Education from the University of Tennessee
  • Conducts programs in Nutrition and Food Safety, Health, Financial Management and Parenting
  • Enjoys teaching hands on life skills: cooking, food preservation, sewing and basketry to youth and adults
  • Her hobbies include reading, sewing, basketry, creating and working in the yard and garden
  • Loves spending time with her great nieces and nephews
Lucinda Ruth Drummonds

Lucinda Ruth Drummonds

Extension Agent, 4-H Youth Development
  • Began her career as a 4-H Agent in Claiborne County TN in 2017
  • Taught Elementary Education for 7 years TNT Primary in Claiborne County
  • Received a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Administration at Bethel University in 2014
  • Received a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Teaching at South College in 2008
  • Her hobbies include reading, embroidery, water sports, working in the yard and garden
  • Loves spending time with her family
