Montgomery County 4-H and Cooperative Extension held a Family Fun Day event in Biscoe, NC, on Saturday, Oct. 27th. On this brisk morning, families from Montgomery County and beyond visited Biscoe Park to enjoy the festival atmosphere and engage with the Cooperative Extension staff and community partners. Staff and partners provided information on substance misuse prevention, with an emphasis on opioid misuse prevention, and family health and safety.
The fun activities included:
- A blender bike, pedal to make delicious, healthy smoothies.
- Balloon animals (or hats!), face painting, ice cream, and bouncy houses.
- Free bike helmets were distributed and properly fitted to children. Child car seat safety inspections were also provided.
