10/29/19 PFPC Week 3: Families gathered for a delicious lasagna dinner, courtesy of Reatha Hoffman and Jessica Aguilar. Afterwards, youth gathered to play a fun game of charades, acting out stressful and positive daily activities. Then they practiced ways to positively respond to stressful moments. They concentrated on using reflexive listening skills and really grasped the concept.

The adults meanwhile also practiced reflexive listening and validation skills. They also discussed how life is different from when they grew up. The families then gathered together again. They were prompted to make a list of their family’s typical daily events on sticky notes and they placed the notes onto a stress spectrum poster to identify stress points throughout the day.

We then discussed different methods of stress reduction and watched a meditational video. This ended the night on a relaxing note.
